On to good old Whitemoor Haye and a walk around the lanes produced Swallow, Woodpigeon, Tree Sparrow, Carrion Crow, Skylark, Blackbird, Corn Bunting, Lapwing, Common Whitethroat, Grey Heron, Greenfinch, Wren, Chaffinch, Magpie, Yellowhammer, Goldfinch, Stock Dove, 52 Mute Swan, 2 Grey Partridge, Wheatear, Mallard, Reed Bunting, Great Tit, Buzzard, Moorhen, Starling, Dunnock, Linnet, Mistle Thrush and Collared Dove. On to the quarry pool and whereas yesterday there was only Tufted Duck and Cormorant, today it woke up. Birds noted in and around the pool were Canada Geese, Tufted Duck, Greylag Geese, 2 Redshank, Black-headed Gull, 3 Common Tern, Chiffchaff, 2 Dunlin, Robin, Willow Warbler, 1 Common Sandpiper, Pheasant, Pied Wagtail, Little Ringed Plover, Yellow Wagtail and 2 Greenshank.
